Instructions STEP
1 The
first step is to decide which method you
want to install. These will be explained
below as either a, Ethernet
option or USB
option. Remember you will use
only one option. Now
let’s find out which option is best
for you. On the back of your computer there
are always a number of different jacks, and
there are two specific ones that we are looking
for… 1. This
is USB. 2. This
is ENET. Sometimes
an ENET jack is confused with a modem jack  ,
which is not the same. Modems almost always
have 2 phone jacks, not 1, and phone jacks
are smaller than ENET jacks. The preferred
method of install is through the ENET jack
because there is less conversion through
ENET than USB. However, there is very little
impact on performance. Note:
Some computers may come with ENET built in
instead of using an add-on card. This works
just fine but means that the jack may be
up near the keyboard and mouse jacks instead
of in a card slot. Note:
You must have either USB or ENET to use our
DSL Modem.
Note: If you have both, ENET is the best choice. So
now it’s time to choose!
