Setup Information for Common Email Programs

Mac's "Mail"
 

How to Set Up Mail in Mac OS 10.0 and 10.1 for Bluemarble E-mail

1. Open Mail.
2. From the Mail menu, choose Preferences.

3. Click the Create Account button.


4. In the "Account Type" field, select "POP Account" from the pop-up list.
5. In the "Description" field, type your full BlueMarble e-mail address
(username@bluemarble.net).
6. In the "Email address" field, type your full BlueMarble e-mail address
(username@bluemarble.net).
7. In the "Full Name" field, type your first and last name. This is what will
appear in the "From" line of e-mail you send.
8. In the "Host name" field, type pop.bluemarble.net.
9. In the "User name" field, type your BlueMarble username. This is the part of
your e-mail address before the "@" symbol.
10. In the "Password" field, type your password.
11. In the "SMTP Host" field, type mail.bluemarble.net.

12. Click on the Account Options tab.
13. Check the box next to "Delete messages on server after downloading".
14. Click the OK button.
