Outlook Express - hang up after sending and receiving option

Are you having problems with Outlook Express disconnecting you from your internet connection after it performs its send or receiving operations? It is not uncommon to have Outlook Express' settings change on you, especially after any windows updates,or an improper Windows shutdown.

Please follow the next few steps to help alleviate the issue:

1. Open Outlook Express.
2. Click on 'tools' at the top.
3. Click on 'options' at the bottom.
4. Click on the tab labeled 'connections'.
5. UNCHECK the option that says 'Hang up after sending and receiving'
6. Click 'OK'.
7. You are done!
