Making
Dial-Up shortcuts
Windows 98:
1. Double-click 'My Computer'
2. Double-click 'Dial-up Networking'
3. Right-click on the dial-up connection that
you wish to make a shortcut to.
4. Left-click on 'Create Shortcut'
5. Click 'yes' on the pop-up error message
from Windows.
6. Close the Windows you have opened, and look
on your desktop for your new shortcut icon.
7. You are done!
Windows ME: 1. Double-click 'My Computer'
2. Double-click on 'Control Panel'
3. Double-click on 'Dial-up Networking'
4. Right-click on the dial-up connection that
you wish to make a shortcut to.
5. Left-click on 'Create shortcut'
6. Click 'yes' on the pop-up error message
from Windows.
7. Close the windows that are opened, and look
on your desktop for your new shorcut icon.
8. You are done! Windows 2000 Professional: 1. Click on 'Start'
2. Click on 'Settings'
3. Click on 'Network and dial-up connections'
4. Right-click on the dial-up connection that
you wish to make a shortcut to.
5. Left-click on 'Create shortcut'
6. Click 'yes' on the pop-up error message
from Windows.
7. Close the windows that are opened, and look
on your desktop for your new shorcut icon.
8. You are done! Windows XP: 1. Click on 'Start'
2. Click on 'Control Panel'
3. On the left side margin, click on 'switch
to classic view' (skip this step if it says
category view)
4. Double-click the icon that is labeled 'Network
Connections'
5. At the top under the dial-up heading, right-click
on the dial-up connection you wish to make
a shortcut to.
6. Left-click on 'Create shortcut'
7. Click 'yes' on the pop-up error message
from Windows.
8. Close the windows that are opened, and look
on your desktop for your new shortcut icon.
9. You are done!
